About
What I Do
I have always loved running the show. Growing up I was planning news broadcasts, start-up restaurants in my grandmother's kitchen, gallery openings in my bedroom, and holiday productions with my reluctant little brother. Naturally this developed into a knack for detail and a love of organization.
Also, I have always loved my Catholic faith. I count it as a true blessing that I had a mother who was learning more about the Church while I was growing up, and she included her children in that faith discovery. Having the basis that I was given is a great gift. So how could I fulfill this burning desire to do something radical for the Church? I was restless... and then I found FOCUS.
Still a small-town IL girl at heart, I packed up and moved to Denver, CO where I plan national conference for college students (and do other things, like climb 14,000 ft. mountains). Our last event, SEEK 2013, drew over 6,000 students deeper into their faith. Like all other FOCUS missionaries, I raise my entire salary myself, so this provides an additional dynamic to my work, but one that I love. I get to take others with me on this journey. Never did I plan on this experience.

Who I Am
Aside from being an event planner, I am a daughter, sister, fiancee, and friend.
My family is awesome because we take pictures like this. We are close-knit, so being away from them is sometime rather challenging. Thank goodness for unlimited texts and minutes.
Javi is my wonderful fiance. We met in college- something I really wan't planning or looking for- and he worked for FOCUS as a campus missionary out in CO for two years before moving back to IL. That's right, long distance, but it really is no stranger to us. Come on, September 2014!
